Dada – Now Serving Sloppy Jones!

Thanks to everyone who came to last night’s show, including the BM Show, Airline, JJ & The Rogues, Long-lost friends Steve Pickering and Kevin Denbow, Bruce and Luke, Mark Pittman and a whole bunch of other folks.

cbgRather than being all happy and positive about everything I’ll put it bluntly –

[Comic Book Guy] worst. show. ever. [/Comic Book Guy].

While our music may sound deceptively simple, I can assure you it is actually very challenging to play, even for some of the best musicians in dallas. Unrehearsed, little things that make a good song great can easily slip away, producing a blander, sloppier version of the tune. Last night served as a wake-up call to me. This won’t happen again. If we’re gonna do this live thing, we need to do it right. Everyone in the audience reacted positively to the show and gave plenty of praise and ovation, but on stage we just didn’t feel ‘it’.

Anyhoo – enough bashing. We’ll be back and better – I promise.

Oh Jeef! Paul and I loved it. What you have to take into account is that most of us had atleast 3 + drinks at that point. Sounded fine to me….

    Love always,

Yes, things went wheels off a few times, even I, your mostest adoring fan/wet nurse/manager lady has to admit…but the thing is, you still sounded great.

I have to ask, if you sound good with zero rehearsals, how incredible would you sound if you guys could get together twice a month? I’d so love to hear you guys pull off Lynch Love Loop and a lot of the new stuff.

it wasn’t that bad. i oughta know, as i was in the driver seat. remember: most people aren’t listening to the little things we are. believe me, i bet nobody realizes how many sticks got broken or even what happens when a stick does get broken and the driver is looking for one that still ahs enough gusto left on it to be whacjed against a rim or cym.

however, i will never forgive your forgetting that last verse in crazy! lol, not!
